WHY WE WROTE THIS BOOK
We are lovers of golf and life. Barry is a PGA of Canada Golf Professional and Tammy is a 5-time provincial amateur champion and fascia fitness trainer.
We wrote this book to help middle aged golfers struggling with their golf game, and who may also be dealing with back pain and poor mobilty to play the best golf of their lives and get healthier along the way!
Both us of were top level players in our day but over the years, as we moved into our 50s, we started to deal with debilitating health issues - Barry with major back pain (herniated lower discs and spinal stenosis) - Tammy with hip mobility problems and scar tissue in her shoulder.
We tried many techniques and therapies and many worked to some degree but were never long lasting. Then we discovered a new and innovative technique for golf body health that changed all that! Combined with our existing knowledge and experience we created a unique holistic approach - our success formula so to speak - that gave us our health and our golf back. Tammy and Barry Gibson are founders of Over50Golf and are golf performance coaches who specialize in helping middlle-aged golfers struggling with their game and may aso be dealing with back pain and poor mobility to play the best golf of their lives. Their unique approach combines golf instruction, proper movement patterns and mindset into one simple to use system.
Barry is a PGA of Canada golf professional, Certified Biomechanics Coach and top golf instructor with more than thirty years of experience, having coached his wife, Tammy, to five provincial amateur championaships and over twelve national championship appearances. In addtion to being a competive amateur golfer, Tammy is a Block Therapist, Fascia Fitness Trainer and Canfield Success Principles Trainer. Both are Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified for functional movement in the golf swing.
